International student Grace is studying in Berlin and frequently calls with her terminally ill best friend back home, Leah. One day Leah promises to knit Grace a scarf, and she does, but later Grace receives a package from home with a half- knitted scarf and a note saying “Please finish it for me”. Stuck in her grief, Grace starts giving up her routine and starts obsessing over the scarf and learning how to knit. During a knitting class Grace finishes the scarf, but it doesn't give her the relief she thought it would.

There Eden, who has lost the ability to speak, comes to her through a shared hallucination, sharing a final goodbye with Mia and asking Mia to kill her.
